54. Those Requiring Atonement - Mechusarei Kapparah
A man or woman who is purified from a running issue,
a woman who is purified from having given birth, and a
purified leper cannot eat sacred things or enter the
Temple until they have brought sacrifices. The sacrifice
for a running issue is two birds as a sin-offering
and a burnt-offering.1 That for childbirth is a sheep
burnt-offering and a bird sin-offering; but if she cannot
afford it, birds for both.2 The leper's sacrifice is
three sheep as a guilt-offering, sin-offering and burnt-offering;
but if he cannot afford it, the last two can be
birds.3,a
