7. When Rosh Chodesh falls on Shabbos, the passage beginning "HaShomayim
Kisi'i..." (Isaiah 66:1) is read as the Haftorah (instead of the regular
Haftorah for the weekly portion of that particular Shabbos). [The following
rules apply] should one err and read the Haftorah of the weekly portion
instead: If one has not begun the Haftorah's concluding blessings, one
should recite the passage beginning "Hashomayim Kisi'i..." and recite the
blessings afterwards. If one did not remember until after concluding the
blessings, one should recite the passage beginning "Hashomayim Kisi'i..."
without reciting the blessings.
If Rosh Chodesh falls on Sunday, the passage beginning "Mochor Chodesh..."
(I Samuel 20:18-42) is read as the Haftorah. If one erred, the principles
mentioned with regard to Rosh Chodesh that falls on Shabbos apply. If Rosh
Chodesh falls on both Shabbos and Sunday, the passage beginning "Hashomayim
Kisi'i..." is read as the Haftorah.
