The Rabbi's Notebook offers a refreshing analysis of the weekly Torah portion, emphasizing an understanding of the Torah (or Biblical) personalities and the impact of their extraordinary lives upon history. Events and circumstances are explained from both a Medrashic and a psychological perspective, with a focus on the contemporary lessons to be learned. An emphasis is placed upon the responsibility of the Jewish people to demonstrate what it means for the human being to have been created "in the image of G-d."
The author is Rabbi Aron Tendler of Valley Village, CA.
