  Women in Judaism

Mrs. Leah Kohn
Jewish Renaissance Center (JRC), New York City

This class addresses a broad range of topics on women and Jewish spirituality, law and philosophy, with special attention given to the many ways in which Judaism speaks to women, even (or especially) in modern times. The course material is geared for students at all levels of Jewish education and observance, but with a special emphasis on keeping all classes accessible and friendly to beginners. The subjects covered will include equality between men and women in Judaism, faith, prayer, relationships, and feminine intuition.

Women in Judaism is presented in conjunction with the Jewish Renaissance Center (JRC), a learning institute located in New York City. The JRC, under the direction of Mrs. Leah Kohn, is dedicated to the unique spiritual and intellectual needs of today's Jewish woman. The school offers quality education and personal guidance through Daytime and Evening Classes, Sunday Seminars, Winter and Summer Weeks of Learning, Lunchtime Learning for Professionals and ASHIR - A Professional Women's Association.
