9 inch - Pie crust, pre-baked 40 oz. - Caned yams 3 - Eggs, separated 1/4 cup and 3 Tbs. - Sugar 2 Tbs. - Margarine, melted 1/2 tsp. - Salt 1/2 cup - Parve (non-dairy) milk 1/2 cup - Water 1/2 tsp. - Vanilla 1/4 cup - Coconut Beat yams, egg yolks, 1/4 cup sugar, margarine, salt, parve milk, and water. Pour mixture into pre-baked pie crust, and bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 minutes. Take pie out of oven. Beat egg whites until firm and add 3 Tbs. of sugar and vanilla. Pour on top of pie and sprinkle with coconut. Bake pie at 425 degrees F. for an addotional 5 minutes. |
