Re: Oil in Israel

Regarding the statement that it's too bad there's no oil in Israel...
I once heard an interesting comment about this: if you think about it,
oil has only been an important commodity for about 80 years; this is nothing
compared to the 5700+ history of the world or the 3000+ years since we entered
Israel. Probably 100 years from now, oil will cease to be important again
as new fuels are found. So, why _should_ Israel have oil?

Of course the best thing would be if 100 years from now sand became a
valuable commodity...
