I quote: Mishne Shkalim 6:1 -
13 receptacles, 13 tables, and 13 places to bow were in the Second Temple.
The House of Rabbi Gamliel and the House of Rabbi Hanina
(the Assistant to the High-Priest) used to bow in 14 places.
And where was the extra place? Opposite the Wood Storage Room,
because of a family tradition that the Ark was buried there.
Mishne 2 continues:
It happened that a Cohen was working in there and noticed that a floor stone
was different, ane he went and told his friend.
He died before he finished talking so from then on, Those In The Know
knew it was definitely there.
Now if we could only get Mashiach to come and dig it out...
Behatzlacha rabba,
Yisrael
