Although he did not specify if this was regarding just meals or general
accomodation, I would recommend having a look at Shulchan Aruch, Orach
Chaim, Chapter 170. It deals with the laws relating to proper behaviour
at meals. Have a look in the Mishnah Brura, as well as the other classic
seforim on this eg. Chayai Adom, Aruch HaShulchan, etc. Then follow up
via the Be'er HaGolah to the sources in Shas and RaMBaM. Some of these
references will probably highlight Guest/Host situations beyond the meal
time situations.
