I have been asked to give a drash on Vayeshev, and planned on talking about
the story of Tamar. But this year (as I'm sure happens in many other years)
Vayeshev falls during Chanukah. I have done a bit of searching, but I have
so far found nothing that talks about the significance of Tamar being read
during Chanukah. Certainly, _someone_ must have commented on it. Can
anyone see any connection between the story of Tamar and Chanukah?
