An excellent VHS video tape on the subject entitled The Young Age of the
Earth, is published by the Earth Science Associates. The tape attempts to
present evidence showing that the earth is actually quite young and to give
reasons to rethink beliefs about life origins based on valid scientific
data. For example (copied from the cover box) the sedimentary layers
covering the Grand Canyon were deposited quickly instead of slowly; the
Grand Canyon was formed rapidly by fast erosion processes; granites, the
foundation rocks of the Earth formed rapidly instead of slow cooking; life
forms did not appear spontaneously, but by design; coal and oil can form
rapidly, and did so recently; dinosaurs existed, not millions of years ago,
but just a few thousand years ago.

The tape, narrated by Robert and David Gentry presents some very
interesting theories in the beginning and then refers to them as evidence
for the remainder of the tape. None-the-less, the theories seem sound and
they make more sense to me than anything else that I have heard to date.

The 1996, 76 minute tape, purchase price is: $25. More information at:
