With respect to Reena Freedenberg's comment that there are many Jewish
speakers that have the eloquence and excitement that televangelists do-- I
think that may be a bit of hyperbole. But there certainly ARE dynamic
speakers who thrill just to the message they impart. One of those is a
young Rabbi here in Los Angeles: Rabbi Mordecai Finley. I would love to
know the names of other Rabbis who have the same or similar talent.
By the way, if anyone knows where I can contact Rabbi David Wolf Silverman,
a respected and charismatic Rabbi of my youth, I would love to know how to
contact him. He remains special in my mind for intelligence, speaking
ability, and generally all around warmth and love.
