My feelings about listening to Televangelists can be best summed up by a
short story I heard:

A bochur (a young Yeshivah student) whose family had just moved, suddenly
began to experience difficulties with his learning and even more so with
Judaism in general. He went to the Skverer Rebbe z"l for advice. The Rebbe
z"l asked him how he gets up in the morning. He told the Rebbe he rises
each day to the church bells that ring loudly near his new home. The Rebbe
z"l suggested he set an alarm clock and get up before the bells as he felt
that their "HASHPOAH" (influence) was affecting him.

If someone needs public speaking tips let him seek counsel of one of the
many prolific Jewish speakers and I'm sure he'll see more hatzlocha
(success) than any tip a preacher will give him.

Lots of Hatzlocha.
