should spend less time trying to figure out who is " right or wrong" and
spend more time correcting our own middot ( character traits). Whether or
not the Rebbe is the mashiach, is irrelevant to the fact that we all (for
the most part) need to learn more and apply our learning to everyday
situations. Is the Rebbe mashiach ? I don't know, but I am not about to
spend precious time going back and forth on this subject. The rebbe was a
reat leader and his teachings like many other chachamim( sages) continue to
live on . Lets learn from them and become better jews and at the same time
better the world and bring the geula(redemtion).>>

Thank you for stating this. The Rebbe instructed us many times in
bettering ourselves and bettering the world, in order that Hashem will
reveal Moshiach and the Complete Redemption. As my bumper sticker reads:
"Now it's up to you and me; random acts of kindness will bring Moshiach
now." That's the point.

BTW, the reason many Chassidim believe the Rebbe could be Moshiach is
because he fit the criteria Rambam lays down in Hilchos Melachim, Perek
Daled. But our mission is not to *proclaim* Moshiach--our mission is to
*bring* Moshiach, whoever Hashem decides that is.
