Why doesn

Except for genealogies, the Bible doesn't mention people's names unless something significant happened to them. Thus Cain and Abel are named because of the murder; and Seth is named because he established the line of descent from Adam to Noah. Adam and Eve had daughters as well as sons (Gen.5:4).
