When we read in 1 Samuel 16:41 "But the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him", was this Satan?
It wasn't Satan; Saul (in his last years as king)
was subject to fits of depression and anger - that
is, he was in "bad spirits".
