Jewish History: Biblical History: Moses' Name:

What was the original name given to Moses by his parents?

The Talmud says in Sotah 12 that Moses' original name was Tov (according to R.Meir) or Toviah (according to R.Yehudah). In Megillah 13a the Talmud says that many of the names mentioned in 1 Chron.4:18 were names given to Moses by his family: Yered, Gedor, Chever, Socho, Yekusiel, and Zanoach.
