What is the purpose of human beings in this world?
The purpose of human beings in this world is to serve G-d. This is
clearly specified in the very first paragraph of the Shulchan Aruch
(Orach Chayim 1:1). It is also stated in the last verse of
Ecclesiastes: "Fear G-d and keep His commandments, for this is the
whole [duty of] man".
