Was Adam created, or was he formed out of earth? Was Eve created,
or was she formed out of Adam's rib?
"Formed" doesn't contradict "created"; it just provides more detail.
The account of Adam and Eve's creation in Gen.Ch.2 is more detailed
than the one-sentence account in Gen.1:27. Like the animals (Gen.1:24), Adam came out of the earth, on the sixth day. Adam and Eve were originally created as a single person; see the wording in Gen.1:27. Gen.Ch.2 provides more detail about how they were separated into two bodies.
