What is the significance of the fact that the numerical value of "Abraham" is 248, the number of parts of the body?

The Talmud (Nedarim 32) says that the letter "he" that was added to "Abram" gave Abraham control over the last five organs of his body -- the two eyes, the two ears, and the male organ.
