Jewish History: Biblical History: Aaron's Staff:

What happened to Aaron's staff?

There are many traditions about the staff used by Moses and Aaron. Jacob had it when he crossed the Jordan (Gen.32:11); he passed it on to Judah (Gen.38:18, 49:10); Moses took it to Egypt (Ex.4:17,20), where he and Aaron performed many miracles with it. If it was the same as Aaron's staff that blossomed (Num.Ch.17), it was kept in the Ark, and was used by the kings of Judah - in particular, by David when he fought Goliath (1 Sam.17:40). It disappeared when the First Temple was destroyed.
