In 1 Chron. 4:10, was Jabez praying for more territory?
The other uses of "expanding a border" in the Bible can all be
interpreted literally, but the use in 1 Chron.4:10 seems to be
an exception. The Targum interprets it as referring to expanding
Jabez's wisdom, rather than expanding his territory.
