What do Tzelofechad's daughters names mean? What happened to them?
There's no midrash that explains the meanings of Zelophehad's daughters
names. Machlah is probably related to Machol (dance), and Noah to
(graceful) movement, while Choglah may be related to Igul (circle),
also a dance-related concept. Tirzah can also mean grace (Ratzon) in
another sense, and Milcah can mean regal (as in Malcah).
In Joshua 17:3ff the daughters are given their portions in the land,
but after they married their cousins (Num.36:11), nothing is said
about their descendants.
