Do the Jews want to rule over other nations?
The Jews' conquest of Eretz Yisroel in the times of Joshua and David was not driven by territorial expansionism; it was a
fulfillment of G-d's promise to Abraham. The Messiah will restore David's kingdom (Mishneh Torah, Kings 11:1), but he
will not conquer or rule over any other nations (12:4); thus his wars too will not be expansionism, but a fulfillment of G-d's
promise to David (2 Samuel 7:16; 1 Kings 2:4; Psalms 89:4-5; etc.).
