How old was Abraham's brother Haran when his children were born?
According to the Talmud (Sanhedrin 69b), Abraham was two years
older than Haran (Abraham, Nachor, and Haran were born in three
successive years: Gen.11:26), and Abraham's wife Sarai is the
same as Haran's daughter Yiscah (Gen.11:29). Since Abraham was
ten years older than Sarai (Gen. 17:17), and two years older
than her father Haran, the Talmud concludes that Sarai was born
when Haran was eight years old.
