Jewish History: The Great Rabbis: The SeMaK:

Who wrote the SEMAK?

R.Yitzchak b.Yosef of Corbeil was a student and son-in-law of R.Yechiel of Paris. His book Amudei Golah, also known as the Sefer Mitzvos Katan (abbreviated "SEMAK"), gave a concise treatment of the mitzvos that are currently in effect. It was divided into seven sections so it could be read through in seven days. He composed it in 1277 and sent copies to many communities, encouraging them to disseminate it. He passed away in 1280.
