The Basics of Judaism: Why "Bad" things happen: Reason for wars and accidents:

I would like to know if wars, accidants, etc happening for a reason? Why is this happening? And what is the meaning of life? Can you please answer me this?

Wars happen because leaders of nations choose to fight them, and accidents often happen because people are careless. For some reason, G-d wanted humans to have free choice, and to suffer the consequences, or reap the benefits of their choices. The "bad" things that happen which cannot be attributed to human choice or carelessness, such as earthquakes and certain diseases, cannot be explained rationally. We believe in a just G-d, therefore we assume things are happening for a reason, however, human beings cannot fully comprehend G-d's system of Justice and therefore shouldn't try to.
