Is there a word that can really express how profound this piece I read about G-d and moon had on me I don't think the world itself would be ever to attain all I can say good about this teaching. I have a new prespective concerning suffering, I see the purpose for suffering and pain I can be satisfy to endure for the rest of my days. The world doesn't seem so out of control now, I have today greater hope, if I tell you how this reading of G-d and moon brought me to tears, it would be the least of many praise to start with.

G-D is not only our father and King, He is our friend. He created us and He loves us. That is why we pray to Him - for help, wisdom, gratitude and love. His love helps us to live.

The message of Hashem points out the reality and role we bear witness to. Let us live in the light of Hashem and find Him in the darkness, too.

Very thought provoking. Not like the usual dry stuff I read here. Very juicy and inspirational.

See Shabbos 31a and in Rashi there, "Your friend...this is Hakadosh, baruch Hu."

I think the story's approach to G-d is perfect. It is, after all, about angry, disillusioned people who are arguing with G-d. This might shock you, but these people--who have often begged long and hard for wisdom, yet have given up and are more likely to walk away from G-d forever than to try one more time--do not usually think of G-d as a father or king, much less a friend. The story is the only one I have ever found that actually touches the darkness. As it stands, it is very healing. What could be more holy?

I loved your page about Hashem and the moon, it's really insightful. But... and I don't mean to criticize, just to point out: I think the way you are referring to H'ashem Yisborach is a bit light. Before we even mention Hashem or speak about him we have to put awe and fear in our hearts, if you look in the Hakdomos to seforim which where written by G'doley Olom they always start off with shvochim and hillulim l'Hashem and you can feel the Pachad and awe they felt when they wrote it. Hashem is NOT our friend, he is our Father and King.
