Presumably some people are not worthy of the World To Come. What happens to them after the resurrection? - M. L. -0/1-/2002 |

Would like to know where in the Talmud
or Torah does it say your soul starts
to leave the body thirty days before the person passes away? What happens if
you are in a accident, does the soul leave thirty days before also?
I am not jewish but very interested in
the jewish law and life. I have been to
Israel five times so far and would like
to go again.
Thank you for explaining this to me.
sincerely,

I am so very glad to read this article. We just lost a friend a week ago and I know it is crazy but I think I say him. And the night after the funeral I kept waking up hearing celebration noise. To me it was so loud, but noone in the house but me heard it. Am I crazy or do we sometimes see and hear things for real or do we just do some wishful thinking. I want him happy. thanks for the art. -0/1-/2002 |

Rabbi, this was a wonderful overview. Are there specific sources you can point to for someone who wishes to do deeper learning on the subject? Thank you. -0/1-/2002 |

Elegant, considering the complexity and depth of the subject. I also heard it explained by saying that "there is a door, but knowing what is behind it has no use on this side of it, so its useless to try to know it". The presence of the door is acknowledged, though.
Thank you,
AC.

Where can I find more information about the Jewish view of death and afterlife. I have been searching for this information for a long time.
Thank you! -0/1-/2002 |

This sounds so much better than our Christian version of after life. For such a long treatise, you did a great job in presenting in language that i think people can understand. Thank you. Father Joseph - F. L. -0/1-/2002 |

Dear Rebbe Feldman, I very much enjoyed what you have written. I look forward to reviewing "Spiritual Excellence", and "Ramchal". I was raised as a Catholic, converted to Judaism prior to marrying in 1979 (just celebrated our 23rd year of blessed union). From my earliest childhood memories, I had vivid memories of past lives and started many sentences to my parents as follows: "When I was here before......." I have been told I am a medium, and I spent a long time trying to avoid the obvious truth of same. After years of that not working, I began studying metaphysics, and most importantly trusted my soul and the incontrovertable proof that I am a spark of the light of G-d. I believe G-d "knows me" and "cares about me". I would like to know your thoughts on mediumship, and those who have passed over using someone like me to contact their loved ones - if you have time to reply. G-d bless and keep you always close to His heart. Love and Light, Kathy -0/1-/2002 |

Thank you for this piece. It is a wonderful and much appreciated look at death. My father passed away in June and I have been struggling with where he is what is happening and so on. Thank you. - D. B. -0/1-/2002 |
