As a 66 year-old mother, grandmother, even great-grandmother, currently editing and amending her doctoral dissertation for approval by her thesis committee, I plan to use the concept of "akeret habayit" to bolster my inclusion of "Eishet Chayil" in the document.
I found it difficult to express my thoughts on the busy-ness of being an observant wife/mother while attempting to cram 7 days of work into 6. Being mandated by the words in the Decalogue, commanded by The Almighty to keep Shabbas, counting the days toward the next Shabbas, planning and preparing to greet her, is quite different from being "Suzy Homemaker".
